TOURISME ET CLIMATISME A DIEULEFIT
Sur le site remarquable de Dieulefit, une bourgeoisie dite éclairée est installée depuis la révolution industrielle. Elle a accompagné le développement économique du territoire sans rater celui du tourisme naissant au début des années 50. Aujourd'hui c'est une bourgade de Drôme provençale peut-être un peu assoupie. On y trouve calme, repos et le charme surané d'un temps figé.
Dieulefit is a unique environment. The "enlightened elite" , there established for decades, contributed to the economic developpement of its territories resulting in a village often considerred to be ahead of its time. Tourism was encouraged from the early 1950's and onward. Today, it is a sleepy town in the Drôme Provençale. One may find tranquility, relaxation and a certain nostalgic charm.

Dieulefit 1892. Un instantané de la révolution industrielle.
J'écris et je photographie pour documenter et comprendre mon univers. Sensible aux autres, à leurs savoir-faires, je tente d'en faire la chronique. Partant d'un site local, d'une documentation existante, pour mieux raconter un pan d' Histoire universelle. A travers cet ouvrage, c'est la révolution industrielle dans nos campagnes, l'éléctrification, le chemin de fer,... Dieulefit et sa région témoignent de manière singulière l'évolution d'une société à travers son industrie manufacturière. Au delà du travail de recherche, c'est la mémoire d'un lieu livré au visiteur que cet ouvrage permet de comprendre pour mieux aborder la vie de Dieulefit.
I write and shoot to document and better understand my environment. Aware of my fellow man and his knowledge, I attempt to use these elements to tend a journal. Starting from a local site, inspired by a text from 1892, this story goes on to become universal. Universal as it speaks of the industrial revolution in the contryside, the arrival and production of electricity, railroads, ... Dieulefit and its surroundings are incredible whitnesses to the evolution of a society through its industry. Going beyond the initial research, this work unveils the memory of the land to the viewer, allowing a better comprehension of life in Dieulefit.
